Abstract:
Provided is a two-way clutch of which the size in the axial direction can be made compact. A first engaging piece (5) and a second engaging piece (6) are disposed in a first wedge-shaped space (S1) and a second wedge-shaped space (S2) between an outer member (2) and an inner member (3). The first engaging piece (5) is held by a first holder (7), and the first holder (7) is enabled to oscillate within the outer member (2). The second engaging piece (6) is held in a second holder (8), and the second holder (8) is enabled to oscillate within the outer member (2). In a side surface view orthogonal to the axial direction of the first engaging piece (5) and the second engaging piece (6), at least part of the first engaging piece (5) and at least part of the second engaging piece (6) overlap in the axial direction. The first holder (7) is configured so as to allow the second engaging piece (6) to oscillate along with the second holder (8). The second holder (8) is configured so as to allow the first engaging piece (5) to oscillate along with the first holder (7).
