Abstract:
Provided is a linear ultrasonic actuator which does not require adjustment between a plurality of transducers and has strong generation force although compact. An ultrasonic actuator is provided with: a drive unit which comprises a first piezoelectric body polarized in the thickness direction thereof, a second piezoelectric body disposed so as to face the first piezoelectric body and polarized in the thickness direction thereof, and a first elastic body and a second elastic body between which the first piezoelectric body and the second piezoelectric body are sandwiched, and expands and contracts in the direction of being sandwiched between the first elastic body and the second elastic body; a movable body which is disposed to be movable with respect to the drive unit; a transfer unit which is joined to the drive unit and configured to be able to adjust grip force for the movable body; and a control unit which links the expansion and contraction of the drive unit and the adjustment of the grip force of the transfer unit to each other.
