Abstract:
A plurality of sets of partial volume data (122a-d) are generated by way of applying a process to extract portions that include a site of interest to each of a plurality of sets of volume data acquired sequentially by transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves. The position and direction of the plurality of sets of partial volume data (122a-d) are adjusted so that the representative positions (124a-d) and representative vectors (126a-d) are uniform among the plurality of sets of partial volume data (122a-d) in the site of interest. Composite partial volume data is generated by combining the adjusted sets of partial volume data. A three-dimensional image is generated by applying a rendering process to the composite partial volume data.
