Abstract:
In an ultrasonic diagnostic device and a method for controlling an ultrasonic diagnostic device according to the present invention, a blood vessel extraction unit extracts a short-axis image of a blood vessel from an ultrasound image, a highlighting unit highlights the short-axis image of the blood vessel in the ultrasound image displayed on a monitor, and a motion amount detection unit detects the amount of motion of the ultrasound image between adjacent frames on the basis of the ultrasound image. A device control unit causes the highlighting unit to start highlighting the short-axis image of the blood vessel, and then causes the highlighting unit to stop highlighting the short-axis image of the blood vessel when the motion amount becomes a first threshold value or more. Thus, even when the entire ultrasound image is moved, the short axis image of the blood vessel included in the ultrasound image can be highlighted without making a user feel uncomfortable.
