Abstract:
An ultrasonic probe 8 includes: a probe body 81 in which ultrasonic vibrations are transmitted from the base end to the distal end and which applies, from a treatment part 811 provided at the distal end, ultrasonic vibrations to biological tissue to treat the biological tissue; a coating part 82 that is formed of an electrically insulating material having a lower thermal conductivity than the probe body 81 and that partially covers the surface of the probe body 81; and a molded part 83 that is formed of an electrically insulating material having a lower thermal conductivity than the probe body 81 and that is formed on at least a portion of the coating part 82 so as to be integral therewith.
