Abstract:
An ultrasonic scalpel waveguide shaft, consisting of a proximal-end gain structure (1), a distal-end gain structure (2), an intermediate structure (3), and a frequency adjusting structure (4, 41, 42, 43). The proximal-end gain structure (1) and the intermediate structure (3) are connected via a proximal gain step (13) at a location near a longitudinal vibration antinode of the waveguide shaft. The distal-end gain structure (2) and the intermediate structure (3) are connected via a distal gain step (23) at a location near a longitudinal vibration antinode of the waveguide shaft. The intermediate structure (3) is connected to N (where N > 0 and is an integer) gain maintaining structures (31, 32, 33, 34) via an intermediate gain step (312, 323) at a location near the longitudinal vibration antinode of the waveguide shaft. X (where X > 0 and is an integer) frequency adjusting structures (4) are present in the gain maintaining structure (31, 32, 33, 34). The waveguide shaft allows the ultrasonic scalpel to have a higher blade vibration amplitude. The waveguide shaft can also operate under a stable and suitable vibration frequency to cut a human body tissue with great efficiency.
