Abstract:
This ultrasonic sensor comprises: a case (1) having a cylindrical side wall (3) and a base panel (2) positioned at one end of the side wall (3); and a piezoelectric element positioned on the bottom panel (2) in the interior of the case (1). A side wall (3) includes a pair of thick wall sections that face each other and a pair of thin wall sections that face each other. The inner peripheral edge at the other end of the side wall (3) has a chamfered section (13). A recess (14) is provided in the chamfered section (13) of one of the pair of thin wall sections.
