Abstract:
An uninterruptable power supply device (U1) comprises: a converter (4) that converts AC power supplied from an AC power supply (20) to DC power so as to output the same to a first power supply node (N1); a first bidirectional chopper (6) that outputs DC power from a lead storage battery (B1) to the first power supply node during an interruption of the AC power supply; a diode (10) that is connected between the first power supply node (N1) and a second power supply node (N2); a second bidirectional chopper (11) that supplies/receives DC power between the second power supply node and a lithium ion battery (B2); and a control unit (15) that controls the second bidirectional chopper so as to charge the lithium ion battery during regenerative operation of the load (21) and to discharge the lithium ion battery during power running operation of the load.
