Abstract:
Disclosed are an uplink grant method, a network device, and a terminal device. the method comprises: a first network device receives, from data volumes to be transmitted sent by a terminal device, a first data volume buffered by a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer of the terminal device, the data volumes to be transmitted being the sum of the first data volume and a second data volume buffered by a radio link control (RLC) layer of the terminal device, the second data volume comprising a data volume buffered by the RLC layer and waiting for primary transmission; the terminal device interacts with the first network device by means of the first RLC layer, and interacts with a second network device by means of a second RLC layer. The method, the network device, and the terminal device of embodiments of the present application help improving the uplink grant performance.
