Abstract:
Disclosed is a USB port security device. The USB port security device according to the present invention comprises: a port locking unit including a first coupling unit which is coupled to a USB port of a computer, and a second coupling unit which cannot be coupled to a standard USB port or a standard USB connector; and an adapter including a third coupling unit which is detachably coupled to the second coupling unit of the port locking unit, a fourth coupling unit to which a USB device is coupled, a coupling control unit for determining whether the USB device is a registered device, and a USB switch for selectively coupling a data terminal of the fourth coupling unit to a data terminal of the third coupling unit according to the control of the coupling control unit. The USB port security device, according to the present invention, can register information about a USB device which is first mounted therein and allow data communication through the USB port of the computer for the registered USB device only, thereby easily restricting the use of the USB port.
