Title:
USE OF BACTERIAL CELLULOSE GEL UNDERGOING REVERSIBLE SOL-GEL PHENOMENON
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/240495
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a use of a bacterial cellulose gel undergoing a reversible sol-gel phenomenon. The bacterial cellulose gel of the present invention uses no wood cellulose, thereby allowing the omission of a pretreatment step using strong acid, and thus the bacterial cellulose gel is safe and the process for the bacterial cellulose gel is comparatively simple. In addition, the bacterial cellulose gel is efficient in terms of cost and environmental protection. In particular, the bacterial cellulose gel manufactured by the present invention undergoes a reversible sol-gel phenomenon, unlike other cellulose derivatives, resulting in a specific feeling of use. The bacterial cellulose gel of the present invention exhibits various effects (moisturization, antioxidation, protection from heat, protection from light, and anti-pollution) in the skin.
