Abstract:

Provided is a user authentication system in which multiple users use different types of biometric information acquisition devices and, in an environment in which different types of biometric information are acquired, more accurate user authentication can be carried out on the basis of the acquired user biometric information. This user authentication system (1) is provided with: multiple types of biometric information acquisition devices (10, 20, 30, 40) which acquire different types of users' biometric information; a storage unit (8) which associates biometric information acquired by each of the biometric information acquisition devices with the users and stores the same; and a user determination unit (7) which looks for logical contradictions between new biometric information newly acquired by one of the biometric information acquisition devices, and other biometric information acquired by some other of biometric information acquisition devices, and determines whether or not the new biometric information in the one biometric information acquisition device belongs to a certain user.
