Abstract:
A variable-stiffness wheel according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a tire; and a tire support module which includes a plurality of composite loops, each having a stiff region and a ductile region and positioned inside the tire, and which can be switched to a stiff mode in which the load of the tire is supported by means of the stiff regions of the composite loops and a flexible mode in which the load of the tire is supported by means of the ductile regions so that the tire can be modified, wherein, in each of the plurality of composite loops, the stiff region includes a first stiff region disposed to face the inner peripheral surface of the tire, and the ductile region can include a first ductile region, which is disposed at one end portion of the first stiff region and has a stiffness lower than that of the first stiff region, and a second ductile region, which is disposed at the other end portion of the first stiff region and has a stiffness lower than that of the first stiff region.
