Abstract:
A varnish for insulating films, characterized by comprising (A) a polymer obtained by reacting a bisaminophenol compound having a bulky structure with a dicarboxylic acid compound and constituted mainly of a polybenzoxazole resin precursor and (B) an organic solvent in which the polymer (A) can be dissolved or dispersed. Also provided is an insulating film characterized by being an organic insulating film obtained from the varnish and comprising a resin layer constituted mainly of a polybenzoxazole resin obtained via dehydrating condensation reaction. The insulating film is excellent in electrical properties, thermal properties, mechanical properties, and physical properties, and in particular, has a low permittivity and excellent heat resistance.
