Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle body damper brace which has a novel structure and which ensures durability with respect to both input in an axial direction and input in a torsional direction. A vehicle body damper brace 10 comprises: (a) a longitudinal rod member 12; (b) a housing 14 including a cylindrical part 26 disposed externally fitted around the rod member 12; (c) an elastic coupling member 16, including a first coupling body 36 constituted by a viscoelastic material, that elastically couples the rod member 12 and the housing 14 to each other in an axial right-angle direction; and (d) a regulating member 44, provided separate from the elastic coupling member 16 on at least one side of the first coupling body 36 in the axial direction, that suppresses an amount of relative displacement between the rod member 12 and the housing 14 in the torsional direction.
