Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle cabin lighting device which controls against uneven and patchy illumination, does not undergo significant change in appearance, and is visually appealing. This vehicle cabin lighting device (10) comprises a light source section (20) for emitting light and a lens (30) that is held in a gap formed in a door trim (1) and directs the light from the light source section (20) toward the vehicle cabin. The lens (30) has: a light incident surface (31a) whereon light from the light source section (10) is incident; a light output surface (31b) wherefrom the light incident on the light incident surface (31a) is directed toward the vehicle cabin; and a groove section (32) which is disposed between the light incident surface (31a) and the light output surface (31b) and forms a recessed space. The groove section (32) is provided with a light diffusion section for diffusing light.
