Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle control device for a hybrid vehicle comprising an engine, an electric motor, a transaxle having a power transmission path connecting the engine and electric motor to drive wheels, a temperature detection means that detects the temperature of the transaxle, and a control unit that switches between a series operation mode in which the electric motor is driven by electric power generated by the rotation of the engine and a parallel operation mode in which vehicle travel is driven by the engine and electric motor, wherein the control unit performs a first control that prioritizes traveling in parallel operation mode when the temperature of the transaxle is equal to or greater than a first predetermined temperature.
