Abstract:
A vehicle (100) is provided with a motor generator (130) for generating travel drive force and an ECU (300). If a change in power requested by the user is within a prescribed range, the ECU (300) executes a drive power change operation for causing the vehicle (100) to travel while the motor generator (130) is being switched between a first state (acceleration travel) in which drive force is generated, and a second state (inertia travel) in which the drive force is smaller than in the first state. Then, the ECU (300) controls the motor generator (130) by setting the drive power for accelerating travel to be non-rectangular. In this way, changes in vehicle speed while switching between accelerating travel and inertial travel are made gentler, improving drivability.
