Abstract:
Disclosed is a vehicle drive device including a rotating electrical machine having a rotor and a stator, an accommodating member forming an accommodating chamber in which the rotating electrical machine is accommodated, a cover member which is coupled to one end side of the accommodating member in an axial direction, faces the rotating electrical machine in the axial direction, and includes a supporting portion rotatably supporting the rotor, a power switching element electrically connected to a coil of the stator, and a smoothing capacitor electrically connected to the power switching element, wherein: the power switching element and the smoothing capacitor are fixed to the cover member, and are disposed between the cover member and the rotating electrical machine in the axial direction; and the smoothing capacitor overlaps the power switching element as seen in a radial direction.
