Abstract:
Disclosed is a vehicle drive device including: a dynamo-electric machine having a rotor and a stator; a housing member forming a housing compartment in which the dynamo-electric machine is housed; a cover member that is joined to one axial-end side of the housing member, that faces the dynamo-electric machine in the axial direction, and that has a bearing support part for rotatably supporting the rotor; a power switching element electrically connected to the coil of the stator; and a smoothing capacitor electrically connected to the power switching element. The smoothing capacitor is disposed radially outward relative to the power switching element when viewed in the axial direction.
