Abstract:
An obstacle detection and notification device according to an embodiment is provided on a vehicle and performs notification of an alert when a moving obstacle is detected. The obstacle detection and notification device is provided with: a moving obstacle detection unit for detecting a moving obstacle in a predetermined monitoring area; a first calculation unit for calculating a movement prediction route of the moving obstacle; a second calculation unit for calculating a movement prediction route of the vehicle; a setting unit for setting, on the basis of the movement prediction route of the vehicle, an alert execution area which is in the monitoring area and in which alerting is to be executed; an excluding unit for excluding, on the basis of the movement prediction route of the moving obstacle and the movement prediction route of the vehicle, a moving obstacle with a low possibility of entering the alert execution area from moving obstacles to be alerted to; and an alerting unit for performing notification of an alert with respect to the moving obstacles to be alerted to. Thus, it is possible to reliably collect information and guide a vehicle with a simple configuration.
