Abstract:
A headlamp (1) is provided in a two-wheeled vehicle that travels on a corner by leaning a vehicle body toward the direction of the turn. The headlamp (1) comprises a cornering lamp (4) and a lamp control unit (5). A light source of the cornering lamp (4) forms a lateral light distribution pattern beside a high-beam light distribution pattern when the vehicle body is banking. The lamp control unit (5) controls the light source of the cornering lamp (4). The lamp control unit (5) varies the amount of light of the light source of the cornering lamp (4) according to the bank angle of the vehicle body. If an object outside the vehicle is sensed, the lamp control unit (5) varies the amount of light of the light source of the cornering lamp (4) to form a dark area in the region corresponding to the object in the lateral light distribution pattern.
