Abstract:
The present invention prevents a problem from occurring in unlocking of a wheel, reduces the force required for locking a wheel, and shortens the time required to lock a wheel. This wheel lock system comprises: a body; a shaft member which is supported on the body so as to be rotatable about a rotation axis and which has an recess formed in at least a portion of an outer circumferential surface around the rotation axis; a wheel which is fixed to the shaft member and which rotates together with the shaft member; and a lock mechanism which switches between an unlocked state for permitting the rotation the wheel and a locked state for restricting the rotation of the wheel. The lock mechanism has a linear body equipped with a protrusion. The linear body is disposed so as to be capable of pressing the protrusion against the outer circumferential surface of the shaft member where the recess is formed. The lock mechanism is configured to transition from the unlocked state, in which the protrusion is not fitted in the recess, to the locked state when the protrusion gets fitted into the recess as the linear body is moved in a direction orthogonal to the rotation axis of the shaft member.
