Abstract:
In this vehicle lamp configured to emit outgoing light from a light source toward the front side of the lamp via a light guiding body, the light guiding body as well as the outer peripheral edge portion thereof is made to appear to shine brightly. A light guiding body (30) is configured to totally reflect outgoing light from a light-emitting element (22) that has entered a center area (32) thereof toward a peripheral area (34), and has a configuration in which a plurality of incidence control elements (34S) for controlling the incidence of direct light from the light-emitting element (22) are formed on the back side of the peripheral area (34) in alignment from the inner peripheral side to the outer peripheral side. The plurality of incidence control elements (34S) each comprise a second incident surface (34S1) on which the direct light from the light-emitting element (22) is incident and a second reflecting surface (34S2) that totally reflects the incident light toward the front side of the lamp, and are each disposed such that the totally reflected light from the center area (32) can be incident on the second reflecting surface (34S2). With this configuration, bright light traveling from the light-emitting element (22) toward the center area (32) of the light guiding body (30) is directed to the peripheral area (34).
