There is provided a vehicle linear motor configured so as to be able to suppress the effect of vibration in the vertical direction of the vehicle, and to improve durability and lifetime usage. The vehicle linear motor is provided with: a cylindrical casing; a pair of armatures disposed to be fixed inside the casing; a movable element that is disposed to face the pair of armatures and is capable of moving within the casing, the movable element being formed in a flat plate shape; and a support member for slideably supporting the movable element so that the movable element moves in the length direction of the movable element. The movable element formed in a flat plate shape is provided with a plurality of magnets disposed to be separated in the length direction. Each of the pair of armatures is provided with a magnetic pole disposed so that the movable element moves relatively in the length direction in relation to the armatures. The casing is mounted in the vehicle so that the length direction is horizontal, and is disposed so that the movable element and the armatures face each other in the horizontal direction.
