Abstract:
This vehicle-mounted refrigeration apparatus (10) is mounted to a vehicle (1) which can be set to a specific driving mode in which driving systems (6, 8) perform at least a driving operation related to acceleration instead of a driver. The vehicle-mounted apparatus is provided with: a compressor (12) which operates in association with an output from a power source (4) for vehicle travel; a radiator (14) which dissipates heat from a refrigerant discharged from the compressor; and a decompression device (16) which decompresses the refrigerant from which heat was dissipated in the radiator. The vehicle-mounted apparatus is provided with: an evaporator (18) which cools a to-be-cooled space (3a) by evaporating the refrigerant decompressed in the decompression device; and a frost determination unit (100c) which performs a frost determination process for determining whether frost is attached to the evaporator. The frost determination unit is configured to perform the frost determination process when the vehicle is traveling in the specific driving mode.
