Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle periphery image display system that is of a simple structure and that makes it possible to effectively prevent young children from being accidentally run over. In the present invention: a plurality of imaging units are disposed so as to be able to capture images of the outer periphery of a vehicle without any blind spots; a processing unit comprises a display control means for outputting, as a display image signal, any one or more or all of video signals captured by the imaging units and an image analysis means for processing the video signals captured by the imaging units so as to detect an obstacle; the display control means is configured to use, as input signals, at least one of the condition of a selector switch, the driving operation condition of a driver, and the running condition of a vehicle, in addition to an output condition of the image analysis means, and to output display image signals corresponding to the input signals; and the image analysis means detects an obstacle by processing video signals and also has an AI processing function that is capable of identifying a young child from the shape and motion of the obstacle.
