Abstract:
The present invention provides a vehicle remote operation device capable of parking/retrieving a vehicle through remote operation thereof, and capable of responding to changes in the surroundings thereof. When a command for automated parking in or retrieval from a garage is received from a transmitter (50), an automated steering unit (15) assesses obstacles around the vehicle (specifically near the doors) obtained by a surrounding-object sensor (21), determines whether or not there is sufficient space for the door to be operated and for a passenger to enter/exit the vehicle, and if necessary, automatically moves the vehicle to a location where entrance to/exit from the vehicle is easy.
