Abstract:
In a configuration of this vehicle seat in which the state changes when a rear load acts on the vehicle, said state is suitably changed in accordance with the body shape of the passenger. This vehicle seat, which changes state when a rear load acts on the vehicle, is provided with a rotating member 20 which moves from an initial position accompanying the change in the aforementioned state, and an engagement pin 22 which restricts movement of the rotating member 20. Further, in the case that, with the action of the rear load on the vehicle, the load from the vehicle passenger acting on the vehicle seat changes in accordance with the body shape and body weight of the passenger, then, if the load is less than a prescribed value, the engagement pin 22 stops the rotating member 20 in a first position when the rotating member 20 moves from the initial position and reaches said first position. Meanwhile, if the aforementioned load is greater than or equal to the prescribed value, then, after reaching the first position, the rotating member 20 overcomes the movement restriction by the engagement pin 22, and moves further towards a second position, which is further away from the initial position than the first position is.
