Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle security device capable of saving costs by using the same components in both transmitting and receiving circuits. The vehicle security device comprises an automotive radio (B) which performs authentication processing as to whether a portable radio (A) is suitable for a vehicle through wireless communication with the portable radio (A). The automotive radio (B) comprises: a signal transmitting unit (4) which sends a request signal through wireless communication using a long wave band frequency based on a vehicle operation signal; a signal receiving unit (5) which receives an identification signal generated by the portable radio (A) through the wireless communication using the long wave band frequency in response to the request signal; a storage unit (6) which stores identification information corresponding to the vehicle; and an authentication unit (7) which determines whether the identification signal and the identification information are suitable or not.
