In order to provide a structure for vehicles, having a small number of kinds of structural members and a small number of parts, free from the occurrence of strain and having a high dimensional accuracy and a high assembling accuracy, and a method of manufacturing the same, each vehicle block is formed by a structure comprising unitarily combined outer plate and a reinforcing plate which are made of a metal material, and the reinforcing plate is formed by a plurality of divisional panels welded together, each of the panels being provided with a plurality of beads which comprise elongated projections extending in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle block, and which are formed by plastic working. Between the beads, burrings comprising rib-carrying elongated holes extending in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle block are formed by plastic working. Each panel of the reinforcing plate is further provided with at least one columnar projection extending at right angles to the beads. The beads, burrings and columnar projections extend outward from one surface of the panels. At least one end of the beads and the columnar projections are joined together unitarily by plastic working, and the adjacent portions of the panels, and the panels and the outer plates are welded together unitarily.
