Abstract:
It is possible to automatically display an image of a vehicle surrounding matched
with the intention of a driver. An infrared camera (2) images a face of the driver
(7). From the face image of the driver (7), the visual line direction and the face
direction of the driver (7) are detected. According to the visual line direction
and the face direction of the driver (7), it is judged to which direction the driver
(7) pays attention. When the direction of the attention of the driver (7) is contained
in the imaging range of the CCD cameras (1A, 1B, 1C), an image of the surrounding
of a vehicle (100) imaged by one of the CCD cameras (1A, 1B, 1C) is automatically
displayed on a monitor (6).
