Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle system used in a vehicle, comprising: an imaging unit (10) that generates an image by capturing an image of the outside world of the vehicle; and a blind spot estimation unit (43) that recognizes an object being a factor of a blind angle in the image, estimates the depth of the object, uses information on the estimated depth to estimate the inside of a blind spot (BS) formed by the object. In the image obtained by capturing the image, the object being a factor of the blind angle is recognized, and the inside of the blind spot is estimated. In estimation of the inside of the blind spot, the depth of the object is estimated and information on the estimated depth is used. Of the blind spot, in a spot extending from a front side with respect to the imaging unit toward the depth, possibility of existence of the object can be estimated. In a spot extending further from the depth to a back side, possibility of existence of things other than the object can be estimated. Accordingly, the inside of the blind spot can be comprehended more appropriately.
