Abstract:
Provided is a vehicular display device with which it is possible to prevent situations in which an image of the viewer is hindered by intense reflected light. A vehicular gauge 1 comprises a display panel 3 that displays information pertaining to the vehicle, LEDs 6 that shine infrared light toward a driver D to whom the display panel 3 is visible, and a camera 5 that captures an image of the driver D using infrared light, a wire-grid polarizing plate 9 being provided to the driver D-side of the camera 5, wire-grid polarizing plates 10 being provided to the driver D-sides of the LEDs 6, and the polarization direction of the wire-grid polarizing plate 9 and the polarization direction of the wire-grid polarizing plates 10 being orthogonal.
