Title:
VELVETY FIELD ELECTRON EMITTING DEVICE INCLUDING VELVET-SHAPED CARBON NANOTUBE FIBER TOP END, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/128437
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a velvety field electron emitting device including a velvet-shaped carbon nanotube fiber top end, and a method for manufacturing same. The velvety field electron emitting device according to the present invention is a field electron emitting device using a carbon nanotube fiber having various shapes which may be flexible and operated at a lower electric field using various weaving methods (for example, matelasse, piquem, bedford cord, and the like). The velvety field electron emitting device may be manufactured using various boards (for example, films, fibers, or meshes), and particularly, meshes having various sizes. Also, the distance between the carbon nanotube fibers may be easily adjusted using the various boards to further increase the efficiency of the field electron emitting device. Also, the whole fiber may be manufactured using the carbon nanotube fibers, or only a portion corresponding to a pile may be manufactured using the carbon nanotube fibers. Thus, unlike the prior art, a top surface of the board may not be coated with a conductive material.
