Abstract:
A verification device (mobile terminal) (2) is provided with: a processor; and a storage unit that stores in advance a preset verification blur extent in association with a registered image, wherein the processor is configured to: blur a face image obtained by photographing, by means of a photographing unit (14), a person to be recognized, to the verification blur extent associated with the registered image corresponding to the face image; and execute face recognition by using the image blurred to the verification blur extent. The verification blur extent is set such that recognition is successful for a blurred image of a photographic image which is a face image obtained by photographing the real face of the person to be recognized, while recognition fails for a blurred image of a picture image which is a face image obtained by photographing a face picture of the person to be recognized.
