Title:
VIBRATION-ABSORBING DEVICE AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/083675
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A vibration-absorbing device that is reduced in weight and downsized and where durability of a rubber-like elastic body is improved. The device improves stability of operation of a motor vehicle. A vibration-absorbing device is constituted of an inner tube body (15) and a tube member (18) that is press-fitted in one end portion in the axial direction of the inner tubule body. In the inner tube body (15), a rubber-like elastic body (3) is provided between an inner tube (1) and an outer tube (2). A diameter-expanded portion (19) with a larger diameter than the one end portion of the inner tube body is formed on the tube member (18), and an end surface of the diameter-expanded portion is brought into contact with an installation surface (20) of a supporting member (30). Further, compressive force-applying means for applying compressive force in the axial direction of the inner and outer tubes is provided at the rubber-like elastic body. The rubber-like elastic body has an inner tube-side wall portion and an intermediate tube (7)-side wall portion. The inner tube-side wall portion has a first inclined surface (41) located on the intermediate tube (7) side, on one side of the axial direction of the inner and outer tubes. The intermediate tube (7)-side wall portion has a second inclined surface (42) located on the inner tube side, on the other side in the axial direction of the inner and outer tubes. The compressive force-applying means sandwiches the first inclined surface and the second inclined surface with the rubber-like elastic body in between.
