Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application provide a vibration damping device and a laundry treatment apparatus. The vibration damping device comprises a disk body, a swinging mass body, an end cover and a plurality of elastic bodies, wherein the disk body is provided with a rotating center and an arc-shaped swinging chamber, the arc-shaped swinging chamber corresponds to a first circle center, and the first circle center and a rotating center are eccentrically arranged; the swinging mass body is arranged in the arc-shaped swinging chamber and can perform arc swinging by taking the first circle center as the circle center; the plurality of elastic bodies are arranged in the arc-shaped swinging chamber, and the elastic bodies are arranged at two opposite ends of the swinging mass body in a swinging direction; and the end cover at least partially shields the arc-shaped swinging chamber to limit the swinging mass body in the arc-shaped swinging chamber. The vibration damping device in the embodiments of the present application can resist the vibration excitation caused by eccentricity by means of the large amount of inertia generated by means of a small mass arrangement, such that the mass utilization efficiency is greatly increased, while the vibration noise performance is improved, the bending moment borne by a power input bearing can be avoided or greatly reduced, the stress condition of a power input shaft is improved, and the service life of the power input shaft is prolonged.
