Abstract:
A video display device (1) includes a display part (3), a fixed part (2) to which the display part (3) is rotatably connected, a touch sensor (12) that detects holding of the display part (3) by a user, a hinge mechanism that generates torque against rotation of the display part (3), and a motor (14) that lowers the torque of the hinge mechanism by rotating the display part (3) while the touch sensor (12) detects holding of the display part (3) by a user.
