Abstract:
Disclosed by the present application are a video encoding and decoding method and related device. The method comprises: obtaining a video frame to be decoded, the video frame to be decoded being divided into a plurality of regions; determining a corresponding resolution for each of the plurality of regions to obtain a plurality of resolutions, the plurality of resolutions comprising at least two different resolutions; using corresponding resolutions to decode the video blocks on each of the plurality of regions, the video frame to be decoded being divided into a plurality of video blocks. The present application solves the technical problem in the related art of the use of the same resolution to encode and decode video resulting in large fluctuations in the peak signal-to-noise ratio.
