Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a video encoding method and system, a video decoding method and system, a video encoder, and a video decoder. During the process of video encoding, for each transform coefficient, one target quantizer is determined from N quantizers to quantify the transform coefficient so as to obtain a quantized coefficient, N being a positive integer greater than or equal to 2, and at least one quantizer among the N quantizers being a non-zero quantizer that can quantize all transform coefficients into non-zero quantized coefficients; and the quantized coefficient is encoded to obtain a bitstream. Since at least one quantizer among the N quantizers is a non-zero quantizer that can quantize all the transform coefficients into non-zero quantized coefficients, and the non-zero quantizer does not need to calculate the cost of quantizing the transform coefficients to zero, the encoding cost is reduced, and the encoding efficiency is further improved.
