Abstract:
Provided is a vision testing apparatus that makes it possible to reduce psychological feelings of anxiety and stress imparted to a subject when conducting a vision test as a result of fitting the device body of the vision testing apparatus to the head of the subject. This vision testing apparatus is provided with: a device body that is fitted to the head of a subject undergoing a vision test, and comprises display elements 12L, 12R for displaying a test image to the subject, and a camera 40 that captures an image of the outside world; a switch 31 operated by the subject; and a display control unit 43 that switches the display image displayed by the display elements 12L, 12R from the test image to the image of the outside world captured by the camera 40 when the switch 31 is operated under a prescribed operating condition while the test image is being displayed by the display elements 12L, 12R.
