Abstract:
A voltage-controlled oscillator, comprising M delay units, wherein the M delay units are annularly connected in series to form an M-stage delay circuit, and each delay unit comprises: an output module comprising a positive output node and a negative output node, and used for outputting a differential signal; a rising edge receiving module used for receiving a rising edge of the differential signal output by an N-th delay unit; a falling edge receiving module used for receiving a falling edge of the differential signal output by a previous delay unit connected to the N-th delay unit; and a feedback module connected between the rising edge receiving module and the falling edge receiving module, and used for controlling the flip time of the differential signal to achieve the control of the output frequency of the voltage-controlled oscillator, wherein M≥3 and M≥N≥1. Also provided is a clock generator based on the voltage-controlled oscillator, which can achieve the generation of a high-frequency clock signal at an extremely low temperature by means of relatively low power consumption.
