Abstract:
Provided are a voltage conversion device and a voltage conversion method in which it is possible to minimize the variation in the output voltage and output a constant voltage in a stable manner even immediately after the switching frequency has been switched. When the switching frequency is switched from a first frequency to a second frequency, the duty ratio is changed so as to be smaller than the pre-switching duty ratio in the first cycle of the PWM signal immediately after the switch. The amount of change in this case is determined so that there is a match in the lower limit values of an inductor current immediately after the switch in the switching frequency and in a steady state. Such a change suppresses an increase in the inductor current immediately after the switch, minimizes the variation in the output voltage, and causes a stable constant voltage to be outputted to a load.
