Abstract:
In this voltage-type DC power supply provided with an inverter, current supplied from the inverter to the load side is suppressed during arcing. During stopping and restoring of the DC output of the voltage-type DC power supply, by cutting off a chopper unit from the inverter during stopping, excess current to the load is suppressed during arcing, quickly extinguishing the arc, and the current flowing through the chopper unit is maintained as a circulating current; by the circulating current maintained during restarting of the inverter being supplied to the load, delay in supply of the DC current to the load is reduced during the restoration of DC output of the voltage-type DC power supply.
