Abstract:
The present application discloses a VR device positioning method and a VR device, wherein the method is applied to a head-mounted display (HMD) (310) of a VR device, and the method comprises: sending a positioning synchronization signal to a handle (320) at a first preset cycle, so that the handle (320) controls, according to the positioning synchronization signal, each LED light in an LED light ring (321) to light up for a first preset duration (S110); while sending the positioning synchronization signal, controlling a camera (311) to expose for a second preset duration to image capture the handle (320), so as to obtain at least one positioning photograph, the starting moment of the second preset duration being earlier than the starting moment of the first preset duration, and the second preset duration being greater than the first preset duration (S120); and determining spatial position information of the handle (320) according to the positioning photograph (S130). In the present application, it is ensured that the camera (311) of the HMD (310) may accurately and stably capture a positioning picture of the handle (320) while also reducing the time the LED light is lit up, thereby significantly reducing the power consumption and heat generation of the handle (320), and greatly improving the user experience for users.
