Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a walking assistance machine based on passive walking that can improve various functions such as a walking assistance function and that can also address twisting of the legs and waist in directions other than the front-back direction. [Solution] This walking assistance machine comprises: a waist attachment member (10) that is attached to the waist of a user; a first link part (30) that is disposed to the side of a femoral region of the user; a first rotating support part (20) that rotatably supports the waist attachment member and the first link part; a thigh attachment member (50) that is attached to the femoral region or a lower leg of the user; and a second rotating support part (40) that rotatably supports the thigh attachment member and the first link part. The walking assistance machine is characterized in that the first link part comprises two rod-shaped members that are arranged in the front and back of the femoral region so as to be parallel or substantially parallel to each other.
