Abstract:
While a distribution warehouse (2) has high space utilization efficiency with item collection shelves installed in a direction parallel with or perpendicular to a line connecting pillars in a rectangular area of the warehouse so as to increase space utilization efficiency, there has been a limit as to how much the item collection speed can be increased. A warehouse layout generation device (1) is provided with: a shipping frequency analysis unit (11) that analyses a shipping frequency of a delivery merchandise item (53) on the basis of warehouse shipping instruction data which are instruction data for shipping the delivery merchandise item (53) from the distribution warehouse (2); and an item collection shelf layout generation unit (12) that outputs warehouse layout data (134) which are layout information about an item collection shelf row for temporarily storing the delivery merchandise items (53) in an area of the distribution warehouse (2), on the basis of the shipping frequency of each delivery merchandise item (53), warehouse design data (133), and a layout design parameter (132). The warehouse layout generation device (1), by generating an item collection shelf arrangement on the basis of the shipping instruction data, provides the warehouse layout data (134) with increased item collection productivity.
