Abstract:
A washing machine (1) includes: a rotating drum (3) for which an aperture portion (17) is formed on one end side in a direction in which a rotational axis (18) extends; a water tank (2) for which a doorway (13) is formed at a position facing the aperture portion (17); a door (4) provided so that the doorway (13) can be opened and closed; packing (5) provided, so as to cover the perimeter (front end-edge (12A)) of the doorway (13), in order to perform sealing between the door (4) in a closed state and the perimeter of the doorway (13); and a receiving part (28). The receiving part (28) is provided on a portion (2A) facing, from below, a gap (X) between the perimeter (front end-edge (3A)) of the aperture portion (17) and the packing (5) on the water tank (2). The receiving part (28) is recessed downward, and receives laundry protruding from the aperture portion (17) so that the same does not come into contact with the packing (5).
