Abstract:
The present invention provides a washing machine capable of shortening a water supply duration for supplying washing water to a water storage tub and capable of storing the washing water in the water storage tub to a specified water level. A fully automatic washing machine comprises: a water storage tub (210) for storing washing water; an ultrasonic washing portion (100) for applying an ultrasonic wave to an object to be washed, which is immersed in the washing water, to wash said object; a water supply unit for supplying at least water from a tap as the washing water to the water storage tub (210); and a water level detection portion (600) for detecting a situation that the water level in the water storage tub (210) arrives at a specified water level. The water level detection portion (600) comprises a pair of electrode terminals (610, 620) which is provided above the water storage tub (210) and extends into the water storage tub (210) to be in contact with the washing water arriving at the specified water level.
